1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mingle ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
To use Mingle, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be legally able to enter into a binding contract
- Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
- Not have been previously banned from the service
3. Account Registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
4. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Upload viruses or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
- Use the App for commercial purposes without our consent
- Scrape or collect user data without permission
- Circumvent any security features of the App
5. Content Guidelines
You are solely responsible for the content you post. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App.
Content must NOT contain:
- Nudity or sexually explicit material
- Violence or threats of violence
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Spam or commercial solicitation
- Copyrighted material you don't own
- Private information of others without consent
6. Safety
Mingle is designed to facilitate real-world meetings. While we take safety seriously and provide tools like blocking and reporting, you are responsible for your own safety when meeting people in person.
We recommend:
- Meeting in public places
- Telling a friend where you'll be
- Trusting your instincts
- Reporting any suspicious behavior
7. Matches and Messages
Matches and conversations on Mingle expire after 24 hours by design. We are not responsible for preserving match history or message content. The 10-message limit per match is a core feature intended to encourage real-world interaction.
8. Venue Check-ins
The venue check-in feature requires you to be physically present at participating venues. Attempting to fake your location or check in from places you are not physically present may result in account suspension or termination.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT VERIFY THE IDENTITY OR BACKGROUND OF USERS.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINGLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES ARISING FROM INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mingle and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
